Girls High School Recap: Roslyn Continues Its Winning Ways

The Long Island Girls High School Tennis season resumed play on Monday after the long weekend, with Roslyn hosting Cold Spring Harbor in a Conference I battle, as the Bulldogs disposed of the Seahawks 7-0.

Roslyn swept all seven matches for the second straight match on Monday to improve its record to 7-1 on the year. Led by its first doubles tandem of Lexi Singer & Rachel Mintz, the Roslyn duo came back from a set down to knock off Jillian Futter & Kathrine Faria, 1-6, 6-2, 6-4. Up next for the Bulldogs is a home contest against Syosset on Wednesday, while Cold Spring Harbor drops to 1-7 and will next host Oceanside.

In Conference II-B action, Massapequa defeated Carey/Sewanhaka 5-2. Daniela Snyder & Daryl Miller paced the Chiefs with a 6-3, 6-3 win at third doubles. With the win, Massapequa snaps its five-match losing streak and improves to 2-5 ahead of its Wednesday match against Bellmore JFK.
