Djokovic Into Wimbledon Quarterfinals After Comeback Win Over Anderson

It took two days to finish, but world number one Novak Djokovic completed his comeback over 14th-seeded South African Kevin Anderson on Tuesday, winning 6-7(6), 6-7(6), 6-1, 6-4, 7-5 to reach the Wimbledon quarterfinals. This match was the last to go onto court on Monday and due to darkness, had to be resumed on Tuesday morning.
Early on in the match, Anderson edged Djokovic in the first-set tie-breaker, and then came back from 0-4 and 2-5 down in the second-set tiebreaker to take a commanding two sets to love lead.
But the top-seeded Serb was not going to go away. He broke twice in the third set and won 16 of his 20 service points to comfortably take the set.
He then nailed down the only break point of the fourth set to take it 6-4 and push the match into a deciding fifth-set. Because of darkness, the match was suspended and the two would have to pick it up on Tuesday morning.
The two held serve through the opening 10 service games of the deciding set on Tuesday, but at 5-5, Anderson made the crucial and fatal mistake. He double-faulted two points away in the 11th game, allowing Djokovic to secure the break and take a 6-5 advantage.
Serving for the match, the Serb fell behind 0-30, but rattled off four straight points to close out Anderson and complete the comeback.
