November 23, 2016 | By Long Island Tennis Magazine Staff

While the majority of Americans will be celebrating Thanksgiving and doing some early holiday shopping this weekend, Croatia and Argentina will be squaring off in the Davis Cup Final in Zagreb, Croatia.

The Croats won their only Davis Cup title in its only final appearance back in 2005 when they defeated Slovakia in Bratislava, while the Argentines have been to the final four times and have never won it.

Both nations notched tight wins in the semifinals, as Argentina ousted defending champions Great Britain 3-2 thanks to a huge win from Juan Martin del Potro over Andy Murray in the first rubber, while Croatia defeated France 3-2 after Marin Cilic won both of his singles matches.

Argentina has defeated Croatia in the only three meetings between the two nations, the most recent one coming in the 2012 quarterfinals.

Below are the rosters for this weekend’s final:

Croatia Argentina
Marin Cilic Juan Martin del Potro
Ivo Karlovic Federico Delbonis
Borna Coric Guido Pella
Ivan Dodig Leonardo Mayer
