Great Neck North Beats CSH In Nassau Semifinal Rematch

The Blazers of Great Neck North won its second straight match on Wednesday, downing Cold Spring Harbor 6-1.

In a rematch of the Nassau County semifinals from a year ago, Great Neck North was led by its first doubles team. Ashley Yu and Margaret Haykin notched a 6-3, 7-5 win over Katherine Faria and Alli Futter to help anchor the Blazers’ win.

Also improving to 3-1 inside Conference I was Syosset, who defeated last year’s county champion Friends Academy 4-1. The win was clinched by Hannah Abraham who beat Parisa Vahid 6-1, 6-0 in the third singles spot.
