Syosset Advances to Nassau Final; Port Washington to Meet Roslyn in Semis

One half of the Nassau County team finals was established on Monday afternoon, as the Syosset Braves booked their spot in the title match by way of a 5-2 victory over Great Neck North.

The Braves captured all three singles flights thanks to wins from Ansh Chadha, Brian Gao & Jeremy Levine, and Evan Lee & Nikhil Shah clinched their team’s win by posting a 6-4, 6-1 triumph at second doubles.

Syosset now moves on to play the winner of Port Washington and Roslyn, who play their semifinal on Tuesday afternoon.

On Monday, Port Washington downed Cold Spring Harbor 6-1 to secure its spot in the semifinals. David Gold & Daniel Greilsheimer sealed the Vikings’ victory by winning 7-6(3), 6-4 at first doubles.

Port Washington will now travel to Roslyn to compete for a spot in the championship. The finals are scheduled for Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at Eisenhower Park.
