Former MacArthur High School standout Kristen Cassidy wrapped up her collegiate tennis career, concluding her four-year stint at Moravian College with a selection to the All-Landmark Conference first-team, and helping to guide her team to the NCAA Division III Championships.

Cassidy lost her junior season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the Wantagh native still compiled a decorated career in her time at Moravian. In 2019, as a sophomore, Cassidy helped lead the Greyhounds to the Landmark Conference title and reach the NCAA tournament. Despite not being able to defend the title in 2020, Cassidy and the Greyhounds clinched the conference title again in 2021.

In the NCAA Tournament, Moravian would win its opening round match against Transylvania (Kentucky), before falling to the defending DIII champion Wesleyan (Connecticut).

Cassidy posted a record of 25-7 in singles play in her career, and she partnered with Brooke Adams to go 23-9 in doubles in their careers. The two were All-Conference selections in 2018 and 2021.

“Kristen has a unique playing style that is very hard to beat in doubles play,” said head coach Mariana Freitas. “She has worked tirelessly to get to the top of her game this season. She is a tenacious competitor, and she has been a great leader on and off the court.”
