USTA Eastern will host a QuickStart Tennis clinic at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum on Thursday, feb. 24 from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., giving kids a chance to learn tennis on a smaller court with equipment scaled to their age and ability. There will also be a wide range of fun on-and off-court activities, including a photo station, off court tennis drills and other sports day activities. The Intrepid Sea Air & Space Museum is located in New York City, at Pier 86, 46th Street and 12th Avenue.

Children will learn to play tennis with equipment tailored to a kid’s size. Simon Gale, a USTA-certified QuickStart trainer, and staff from the Yonkers Tennis Center will be providing instruction and support throughout the event. The QuickStart equipment at the clinic is being sponsored by Wilson Sporting Goods.

There will also be a wide range of fun on- and off-court activities, including a photo station, off-court tennis drills and other sports activities. The event is part of the museum’s annual “Kids Week,” celebration Feb. 19-27, in which children have the opportunity to participate in dozens of fun, educational and interactive activities during Presidents’ Week.
