Cold Spring Harbor, North Shore to Meet in Nassau Small School Final
Nassau County Large School Semifinals Set

The Nassau County Girls’ Tennis playoffs continued on Wednesday, with the quarterfinals in the Large School bracket and the semifinals in the Small School bracket being played.
Cold Spring Harbor defeated Friends Academy 3-2 to advance to the Nassau County Championship for the third straight season. The Seahawks were led by its doubles teams who won all three flights, including a 6-0, 6-2 win by Kate Rogers and Hadley Arcati at third doubles.
In the finals, Cold Spring Harbor will play North Shore, who defeated Wheatley in their semifinal match on Wednesday. Natalie Ion led the way for her team as she won 6-2, 6-1 at second singles.
Cold Spring Harbor and North Shore will play for the Nassau County Small School Championship at 3:00 p.m. at Massapequa High School.
In the Large School draw, top-seed Syosset advanced to the final four with a 7-0 triumph over Herricks. Stephanie Marcheret held on to win 6-1, 4-6, [10-6] at first singles to lead the way for the Braves.
Syosset will play Great Neck South next. Great Neck South defeated Hewlett 6-1 on Wednesday, led by the 6-4, 7-5 victory by Gabrielle Alexa Villegas at first singles.
Port Washington knocked off Manhasset in its quarterfinal on Wednesday, led by the 6-1, 4-6, [10-7] win by Jamison Hershman & Siena McGuffin at third doubles. The Vikings will play Roslyn, who won its quarterfinal 6-1 over Garden City.
Roslyn was led by Chloe Gross who won 6-1, 6-0 at second singles. The Large School semifinals will be played Thursday.
