Bielen Claims Singles and Doubles Title in Colombia

Glen Cove native Sebastian Bielen (pictured above), who plays at Robbie Wagner’s Tournament Training Center captured the singles title, and paired with Juan Jose Neira Rodriguez to win the doubles title at the J60 ANAPOIMA COPA MESA DE YEGUAS in Colombia.


 

Yogumyan Captures L4 Title

Daniella Yogumyan won the title at the L6 SPORTIME Lynbrook Holiday Classic. Yogumyan, who is an Excel High Performance player at Sportime Lynbrook, won the Girls 14s singles title after holding on to win 6-4, 5-7, [10-5] in the championship match.


 

USTA NTC Hosts Boys National Indoor Championships Tournament

Some of the best boys’ tennis players from across the country arrived in Queens to compete in the USTA Boys 12s National Indoor Championships at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The venue provided the site for some top tennis action to help close out the year.

Below are the winners/award recipients:

  • Sportsmanship Award: London Slaton (SoCal)
  • Singles Champion: Davidson Jackson (Florida)
  • Finalist: Pranav Vignesh (NorCal)
  • Doubles Champions: Brishan Paul & Pranav Vignesh (NorCal)
  • Finalists: Jason Ye & Evan Fan (Pacific NW/Midwest)

 

Jack Kennedy Commits to University of Virginia

Huntington native Jack Kennedy has verbally committed to the University of Virginia. Kennedy, a high school junior, announced his commitment to the Cavaliers towards the end of 2024, a year in which he accomplished great results including reaching the finals of the Boys 18s singles at Kalamazoo (as a 16-year-old), finding success on the ITF tour including winning the singles title at the J300 Pan American Championships during the fall, and helping lead Team USA to the Junior Davis Cup title in Turkey.
