Port Washington, Roslyn Advance to Nassau Large School Semifinals

Bartek Dziedziach won at second singles to help lead Roslyn to the quaterfinal victory on Tuesday.

The final four in the Nassau County Large School (Division I) playoffs are set after two quarterfinals were played on Tuesday afternoon.

The third-seeded Roslyn Bulldogs defeated sixth-seed Great Neck South 5-2, anchored by the wins from its singles players. Ethan Solop won 6-1, 6-2 at first singles, Bartek Dziedziach was a 6-3, 6-1 winner at second singles and Brian Toh posted a 6-0, 6-2 victory at third singles.

Roslyn advances to play second-seed Jericho.

Port Washington secured its spot in the semifinals as it defeated Manhasset 4-3 on Tuesday. The fourth-seeded Vikings were led by its doubles teams, who won all four flights to secure the narrow victory.

At first doubles, Ollie Navo & Tyler Finkelstein won 6-1, 7-6(1), while Ben Lane & James Kott were 6-2, 6-0 winners at second doubles. Leonard Bosse & Jayden Doshi posted a 6-2, 6-1 victory at third doubles and the fourth doubles pairing of Lucas Gordon & Cooper Damast won 6-4, 6-3.
