Rafael Nadal still remains unclear about his return to the courts following a knee injury. The Spaniard, who hasn’t played since losing in the second round of Wimbledon in June to Lukas Rosol, skipped the 2012 London Olympics and this month’s 2012 U.S. Open. The 11-time Grand Slam champion is recovering from a partially torn patella tendon in his left knee.
In recent interviews with European newspapers, Nadal says he’s not sure how soon he’ll be back or whether he’ll play in the Australian Open in January. He could miss the ATP World Tour Finals in London in November, and Spain’s Davis Cup final against the Czech Republic, set for Nov. 16-18.
Nadal said, ”This is a day-to-day thing. I cannot predict what will happen.”
