St. Joseph’s College to Host First Annual “Whack it with a Racquet” Tennis Tournament

The First Annual “Whack it with a Racquet” tennis tournament will feature Coach and Pro Glenn Nathan, and the St. Joseph’s College men’s and women’s tennis teams on Sunday, Aug. 25 from 3:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at St. Joseph’s College. The JB Davis Group, having worked with the Ronald McDonald Houses of Memphis and Knoxville, Tenn., wanted to bring the charity home and thought this the perfect platform to do so. This family event is open to tennis lovers of all ages from all over the Tri-State area, and will take place at St. Joseph’s College’s all-new Outdoor Athletic Complex. A youth hour of drills and skills will be followed by an adult mixed-doubles mixer round-robin play. Winners will be awarded trophies and gift cards. The cost of the event is $5 for children 17 and under, $25 for adults 18 and over, and free to spectators. Monetary donations will also be accepted during the event to present to The Ronald McDonald House.
The Ronald McDonald House of Long Island provides families of severely ill children with a home away from home while those children undergo treatment. We hope to raise a lot of money to help them to continue their great work.
St. Joseph’s College’s Outdoor Athletic Complex is located at 246 Sunrise Highway South Service Road in Patchogue, N.Y.
