This year’s U.S. Open is scheduled for Aug. 26-Sept.r 9, with the U.S. Open Qualifying Tournament beginning on Aug. 20. The round-by-round breakdown for the men’s and women’s singles competitions is as follows:

In March 2013, the USTA announced the overall purse for the 2013 U.S. Open would be $33.6 million, as the base prize money was increased by $8.1 million over the $25.5 million available at the 2012 U.S. Open. However, since that time, the USTA has increased the prize money for the U.S. Open Wheelchair Competition, will re-introduce the Champions Invitational featuring the legends of the game, and will significantly increase the player per diem at the 2013 U.S. Open. These three factors have increased the overall 2013 US Open purse to a record $34.3 million.
