Andrea Hlavackova & Lucie Hradecka of the Czech Republic won the U.S. Open women’s doubles title with a 6-7(4), 6-1, 6-4 win over Australia’s Ashleigh Barty & Casey Dellacqua. Hlavackova and Hradecka, who upset the team of Serena & Venus Williams in the semifinals on Friday, used the momentum to defeat Barty & Dellacqua to take home the title. This was the duo’s second major doubles title in their career, following their 2011 French Open victory.

"Tonight, we gonna probably go to our friend’s club and really celebrate, because so far, after all of our successes, we never had a chance to directly celebrate the great results," said Hlavackova after the match. "So I said to Lucie, we’re going no matter what. I don’t care if your flight is in the morning. We’re just going go there and spin it."

Hlavackova won two titles at this year’s U.S. Open, as she also teamed up with Max Mirnyi to win the mixed-doubles title. Barty & Dellacqua were competing in their third Grand Slam final of the year as they also made the finals at the Australian Open and Wimbledon. They have not been able to get over the final hump though as they are now 0-3 in those finals.
