Defending Australian Open champion Stanislas Wawrinka will join forces with fellow countryman Roger Federer, as the duo enters the Men’s Doubles draw of the 2014 BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, Calif. The all-Swiss duo will look to contend against a star-studded doubles field, including defending Indian Wells champs Bob & Mike Bryan, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (teaming with Nicholas Mahut), Juan Martin del Potro (teaming with Marin Cilic), the all-American duo of John Isner & Sam Querrey, Andy Murray (teaming with Jonathan Marray), and Novak Djokovic (pairing up with Filip Krajinovic).

Wawrinka and Federer gets things underway as they face round one opponents against last week’s Dubai champions Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, the number six seeded men’s team. Wawrinka & Federer are no strangers to teaming up together, having taken home the Gold Medal in 2008 at the Summer Olympics in Beijing and have represented Switzerland in Davis Cup action.

The top seeded team of Bob and Mike Bryan open up their title defense against fellow Stanford alum Scott Lipsky and his partner, Germany’s Florian Mayer.
