The draws have been announced for the 2010 Wimbledon Championships that begin Monday, June 21. On the men’s side, top-seeded Roger Federer will meet Alejandro Falla in round one, while second-seeded Rafael Nadal faces Japanese wild card Kei Nishikori. Andy Murray, the fourth seed, has been drawn to the same half of the draw as Rafael Nadal, while third seed Novak Djokovic and fifth seed Andy Roddick headline Federer’s half.

In the women’s draw, top-seeded Serena Williams will play Michelle Larcher De Brito, and her sister Venus Williams, the number two seed, will play Rosana de los Rios in the first round. Serena’s top challengers in her half of the draw include Caroline Wozniaxki the third seed and recent French Open finalist Samantha Stosur. In the bottom half of the draw, Venus is joined by Jelena Jankovic the fourth seed and fifth-seeded and reigning French Open Champion Francesca Schiavone. An interesting potential fourth round matchup in the bottom half of the draw would feature Kim Clijsters and Justine Henin.

In mens doubles, the top seed went to Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic and they will face Jamie Murray and Jonny Marray , while the Bryan Brothers received the number two seed and will take on fellow American Bobby Reynolds along with his parter Marco Chiudinelli of Switzerland.

In women’s doubles there is no surprise at the top as Serena and Venus Williams are the top seed. They will face American Julie Ditty and Renata Voracova of the Czech Republic in the first round.
