David Nalbandian of Argentina strained his groin and tore a muscle last week in a Davis Cup match against Adrian Ungur of Romania which will require surgery and an approximate two-month absence from the court. Nalbandian is targeting May 17 as a return date at either the Masters 1000s in Madrid and Rome, or the French Open at Roland Garros.

This latest injury occurs just a year after he missed time in 2010 with an abdominal injury and in 2009, had surgery on his hip. The 29-year-old is currently ranked 29th in the world.
