Djokovic, Murray and Federer All Advance to Shanghai Masters Semis

Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray and Roger Federer all advanced to the semifinals at the Shanghai Masters with straight-sets wins on Friday. The three winners have yet to drop a set in the tournament.
The number two-ranked Djokovic broke early in both sets and was never broken himself en route to a 6-2, 6-3 win over Guillermo Garcia-Lopez. The number four-ranked Murray handled Jo-Wilfred Tsonga 6-2, 6-2 in 55 min. Murray controlled play throughout and broke the 12th-seeded Frenchman four times while losing only eight points on serve. Murray, who only last week rebounded from an illness that has plagued him since the U.S. Open, will face the winner of the Jurgen Melzer-Juan Monaco match in the semifinals.
Roger Federer made quick work of Robin Soderling in their quarterfinal showdown. Federer won the first set 6-1and then after an early break in the second set, went on to win that set 6-1as well. Federer will now take on Novak Djokovic in the Shanghai Masters semifinals.
