Two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova had no problems in her first round match on Wednesday, breezing past Sorana Cirstea 6-0, 6-4 to reach the second round in less than an hour.

Kvitova got things started right away, winning the first four points of the match to break Cirstea at love and seize control. The Czech, who won this tournament in 2011 and 2014, needed just 15 minutes to wrap up the first set.

Cirstea improved her level in the second set, but Kvitova had already found her rhythm. She broke for a 3-2 lead and that was all she needed, going on to serve out the rest of the match to advance.

Overall, Kvitova fired an impressive 20 winners to just eight unforced errors. She will take on the winner of Ekaterina Makarova and Johanna Larsson, whose match was shortened due to rain.

The third-seed Agnieszka Radwanska also cruised into the second round on Wednesday, battling past Kateryna Kozlova 6-2, 6-1.

“A one-hour match is always good, especially because the weather means we may play every day, so I happy with that,” said Radwanska. “It’s like an indoor tournament sometimes. You have to get used to that, it’s a little bit different, but without the sun and wind it’s a different game and I am happy to win.”

Up next for the former finalist is Ana Konjuh of Croatia, who ousted Italy’s Karin Knapp 6-3, 6-3.

Eugenie Bouchard, a 2014 finalist, was the final match played on Wednesday as she defeated Magdelina Rybarikova 6-3, 6-4. She will take on Great Britain’s Johanna Konta, a 6-1, 7-5 winner over Monica Puig, next.

Belinda Bencic, Andrea Petkovic, Evgeniya Rodina and American Julia Boserup rounded out Wednesday’s winners on the women’s side.
