Jericho Edges Cold Spring Harbor

Jericho defeated Cold Spring Harbor 4-3 in a Nassau County Conference I showdown on Monday.

It was the second straight 4-3 victory for Jericho, who also defeated Great Neck North 4-3 in its previous match.

This match would come down to third singles, and Oliver Liu defeated Luca Johnson 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 to clinch the Jayhawks victory.

In a key Conference II-B matchup, Massapequa beat South Side 4-3 for the second time this season. The fourth doubles tandem of Alec Surrow and Gennaro Frippa clinched the Chiefs’ win with a 6-3, 6-3 victory.

Hicksville won for the fourth time in five matches as it got past Bethpage 4-3. Down 2-3 in the overall match, Ayush Jha evened things up with a 6-3, 7-6(5) win at Mohit Khalia at first singles. Milin Luthra and Om Mehta then clinched the Hicksville win with a 0-6, 6-4, 7-5 comeback victory at fourth doubles.
