Krol Leads Roslyn Past Syosset

The Roslyn Bulldogs improved to 9-2 in Nassau County’s top conference on Tuesday afternoon, downing Syosset 5-2 in a match resumed from last week.

Natalia Krol anchored the Roslyn victory with a comeback win at first singles. Krol fought off match points and came back from a set down to beat Jessie Levy 4-6, 7-6, 6-4 to lead the Bulldogs to its fourth straight win.

Roslyn is now tied with Great Neck North for second place in Conference 1, as both squads sit one game behind Port Washington.

Also maintaining pace in its conference standings were the Cyclones of South Side, who won 7-0 over Mepham to improve to 9-2. South Side sits one game behind Oceanside for first place in Conference II-B, and has a huge matchup against Plainview JFK on Friday.
