This past week, more than 25,000 low compression tennis balls were given away by Tekweld, a nationwide advertising company, who had an over abundance of balls in their warehouse.

“Tekweld is very pleased to see these balls go to the growth of tennis on Long Island and the metro area—especially juniors,” said Tekweld co-owner Taylor Tadmor.

The giveaway, which was coordinated by USTA Long Island Marketing Director Bob Coburn, saw balls given out to World Gym Setauket, Try Tennis Long Island, Lincoln Terrace Tennis Park, Tennis World NYC, Huntington Tennis Assoc., Port Jefferson Recreation, Town of Southampton Parks & Recreation and the SOS Children Orphanage Montego Bay, Jamaica.
