The boys’ high school tennis season is officially underway. Below is a recap of high school tennis matches across Long Island this week.

Hills East 7, Hills West 0

Justin Moss & Shravan Satyanarayana came back from a set down to win 2-6, 6-4, [10-7] as Hills East won its second straight match to begin the season. 


 

Manhasset 4, Great Neck North 3

Owen Mendelson-Tomeo held on to win 6-2, 2-6, 7-5 at third singles to clinch the victory for Manhasset. 


 

Syosset 7, Great Neck North 0

Ryan Nawaz & Loui Peredo notched a 6-2, 6-1 victory at second doubles to help seal Syosset’s victory. 


 

West Hempstead 7, Valley Stream North 0

At second singles, Nicholas Luong came back from a set down to win 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 to lead West Hempstead. 


 

Massapequa 5, Valley Stream Central 2

Sean Sullivan & Christopher Giannico were 6-2, 7-5 winners at first doubles as Massapequa won it’s season opener. 

 


 

Herricks 7, Glen Cove 0

Competing at the varsity level for the first time, Ethan Zhong & Aaron Jiang won 6-3, 6-1 at fourth doubles to lead Herricks.
