Bryan Volk won at first singles to lead the way for Hills West on Wednesday

 

The Thunderbirds of Half Hollow Hills West defeated Kings Park on Wednesday, remaining undefeated on the young season as it notched a 6-1 home victory on a sunny spring afternoon.

Bryan Volk led the way for his team as he notched a 6-1, 6-0 victory at first singles, while Hills West also got singles victories from Alan Yu at second singles, and Brett Dalia at third singles.

In doubles, Ben Rogowsky & Arman Singh were victors at first doubles; Jordan Anderson & Dylan Maresca won at second doubles; and Jason Lenz & Nomi Bilal rounded out their team’s scoring with a 3-6, 7-6(6), 10-6 victory at third doubles.

Connetquot defeated William Floyd 5-2 behind the victory over Daniel Widing, who came back to win 6-7(5), 7-5, 6-1 to lead his team. 

In a non-league match in Nassau County, Hewlett defeated South Side 5-1 as both teams began their spring seasons at Hempstead Lake State Park.
