Sayville edged East Islip this past weekend to notch a 4-3 victory

Below is a recap of high school tennis matches across Long Island this weekend.

Sayville 4, East Islip 3

Sayville edged East Islip as it won all three singles flights, and the fourth doubles duo of Kevin Mulligan & Michael Bambace held on to win 6-0, 4-6, 6-3.


 

Ward Melville 7, Bellport 0

Eric Zou notched a 6-2, 6-0 victory at third singles to lead Ward Melville. 

 


 

Commack 7, Smithtown East 0

Commack 7, Elwood/John Glenn 0

Commack won two matches over the weekend. First, Sean Ji & Mike Florentino won 6-1, 6-0 at fourth doubles to lead the Cougars over Smithtown East. Then, Jackson Krauthamer came back to win 6-7, 6-4, 10-8 to anchor his team’s win over Elwood/John Glenn. 


 

Port Washington 5, Jericho 2

Port Washington improves to 3-0 on the season, as Harrison Roth & James Kott clinched their team’s victory with a 7-6(1), 6-3 at third doubles. 


 

Hicksville 5, North Shore 2

At third singles, Cristian Parlog came back from a set down to win 3-6, 7-6(7), 7-5 to lead Hicksville.
