Longines Future Tennis Aces Focuses on Talent Development

Longines, the official timekeeper off the French Open, is committed to developing and finding future tennis champions. As part of that commitment, they invited 16 12-and-Under players from 15 different countries to take part in the Longines Future Tennis Aces tournament. The boys’ winner was Jaime Delgado of Spain and the girls’ winner was Aleksandra Pospelova of Russia. Both paired with Gustavo Kuerten and Mary Pierce in a mixed doubles match on Saturday at the French Open. Lauren Fishbein of Livingston, N.J., was the U.S. representative in the tournament and made it to the semifinals.
Lauren Fishbein of Livingston, N.J., got a chance to meet her idol Serena Williams at the French Open last week. Fishbein was at Roland Garros playing in the Longines Future Junior Tennis Aces event where she made the semifinals.
