Massapequa High School Wins Conference III Title

On May 24, the Massapequa High School Boys Tennis team defeated Hicksville High School 5-2 to capture the Nassau County Conference III title. Massapequa finished the season 16-0 to win its first championship since 2003. A day earlier, Massapequa defeated Locust Valley in the semifinals, while Hicksville, who finished the season with a 10-6 record, defeated Calhoun to set up the final showdown. The Chiefs were led by senior captain T.J. Bilski, a starter on the team since the seventh grade, and fellow singles players Andrew Bentz and Daniel Kafka.
