The Massapequa Chiefs continued its unbeaten season on Thursday afternoon, defeating Valley Stream Central 5.5-1.5 in a match that had to finish early due to darkness.

The final match on court was a competitive third singles contest between Massapequa’s Grace Ryan and Nazia Seelochan of Valley Stream Central, who split the first two sets 6-0, 3-6 before the darkness came and forced the match to end early.

Massapequa improves to 10-0 with the win, and still holds a slight edge over Mepham in the Conference III-B standings. Mepham edged Long Beach 4-3 on Thursday to improve to 10-1.

West Hempstead edged Malverne 4-3 in a tight Conference IV contest. The Rams were led by Madison Cinnamo, who won 6-1, 6-2 over Kaitlyn Ramharall at first singles.
