Nadal Draws Fourth-Seed Zverev In His Final French Open

In what will most likely be the final French Open for Rafael Nadal, the Spaniard now knows who is first-round opponent will be.

The 14-time Roland Garros champion will square off against fourth-seed Alexander Zverev to kick off his fortnight in Paris. In their previous 10 matchups against one another, Nadal is 7-3 against Zverev. They met in the semifinals of the 2022 French Open, a match in which Zverev was forced to retire with an ankle injury.

The winner of this first-round matchup will face the winner of David Goffin and Giovanni Mpetshiu Perricard.
