Nadal Set to Return From Thigh Injury for Davis Cup Match

Rafael Nadal has announced that he is fully recovered from his left hamsrtring injury and is ready to represent Spain in their upcoming 2011 Davis Cup match against Belgium. He was injured during the quarterfinals of the 2011 Australian Open in Melbourne. Nadal was the top-seeded men’s singles player at January’s Australian Open, but lost in the quarterfinals to the number four seed, fellow Spaniard David Ferrer, 6-4, 6-2, 6-3 after suffering the injured hamstring.

Joining Nadal on Team Spain for the Davis Cup are Ferrer and Fernando Verdasco, and Nadal is slated to play in the opening singles match on Friday.
