racquetTune, an easy and inexpensive way for tennis players to check that their racquet is correctly strung, has been released as an application for the Apple iPhone and iTouch devices. A couple of taps on the strings and racquetTune displays the tension with high accuracy.

It is fun, runs on one of the hottest devices on the market, the iPhone. Yet, it is a serious tool that even professionals praise:

"It is well made, works amazingly well, is child’s play to use and is always with me and ready to use," said Jay Cee, a professional tennis racquet stringer from Paris.

"The app is very, very impressive. I get more tension diagnostic questions than just about anybody in the universe, so this is a very good thing to be able to recommend," said Jonathan Wolfe of the U.S. Racquet Stringers Association.

More information and a demo video of racquetTune can be found at http://appmaker.se/racquettune.
