One-On-One Doubles Tennis & Concert Event Returns To Mt. Kisco On June 13

The Chestnut Ridge Racquet Club, in Mt. Kisco, N.Y., will be hosting a One-On-One Doubles professional tennis tournament and live rock and blues concert on Saturday, June 13 starting at 2pm. One-On-One Doubles, known as Tennis’ third game alongside Singles and Doubles, showcases the crosscourt serve-and-volley Singles game including the Doubles alley.
The event brings the excitement of watching fast paced, attacking tennis where net play is rewarded. Players earn a two-point bonus for winning volleys and overheads the opponent cannot reach. The concert portion is a 90-minute set of live blues during the tournament’s early rounds.
The event’s Tournament Director is Ed Krass, who is in his 22nd year of directing prize money One-On-One Doubles Tournaments coupled with live rock and blues concerts. Krass is a former College Coach at Harvard, Clemson and UCF.
“As a former Edgemont High School tennis player and graduate, I have fond memories of the Westchester County tennis scene, tennis clubs and of the Chestnut Ridge Racquet Club,” stated Krass.
He added:
“When I started this third sanctioned format of tennis, I wanted to bring in my favorite musical genre, rock and blues — for the players, fans and sponsors to enjoy a unique, exciting vibe.”
The June 13 event will feature club, college and professional players, from the Tri-State area, competing for $1500 in prize money. The guest musical artist will be the Slam Allen Band. Slam is an internationally touring rock, funk and blues musician who was the lead singer for the famed James Cotton Band for nine years.

Food and beverages will be available at the event.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Ed Krass and his One-On-One Doubles professional tennis event back to Mt. Kisco! Ed has lined up an incredible rock and blues act, and they’ll be performing live during the event, which will add some fantastic energy and make it even more exciting for club members and other tennis fans to attend!,” stated Brad Breakstone, Tennis Director at Chestnut Ridge Racquet Club. “When we last hosted one of Ed’s events, we had a former NCAA All-American Jose Salazar as our champion, along with many other successful Division I players. We even had a junior, Michael Zhang, who was a blue-chip recruit at 16 and has since won the NCAA singles title twice and reached the second round of the Australian Open! Surely we’ll have even more amazing players to watch this time around!”
One-On-One Doubles has been played at ATP, USTA Pro Women’s Circuit, ITA, UTR, PTR & RSPA events throughout the U.S. This is a free admission event for spectators.
