The Bryan brothers are the winningest doubles team in the sport’s history. Together they won 119 titles, including 16 Grand Slams and six DBO championships. They finished as the year-end No. 1 doubles team 10 times and won Olympic gold together in 2012.

Tennis fans know to keep an eye on the qualifying matches. Seven times a qualifier has gone on to reach the DBO final, with three winning the title. Kei Nishikori, who won as a qualifier in 2008, later climbed to No. 4 in the world.

In the ATP 250 event that starts Feb. 10, two-time defending champion Taylor Fritz will attempt the first three-peat in tournament history. He’ll be challenged by 2024 finalist Tommy Paul. Fritz’s successful 2024 campaign continued in September when he reached his first Grand Slam final at the US Open, becoming the first American man to reach the final there since Andy Roddick in 2006. Fritz also reached the final of the year-end ATP Finals and finished the season at a career-high ranking of world No. 4.

Paul won three titles this year and reached the Wimbledon quarterfinals. He briefly overtook Fritz twice as the No. 1 American in 2024, and capped off the year with a career-high year-end ranking of world No. 12.

Topping off their excellent 2024 seasons, Fritz and Paul teamed up to win Olympic bronze in Paris.
