Agnieszka Radwanska will face Serena Williams in the semifinals of the 2013 Sony Open in Miami after Radwanska’s 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 victory over Kirsten Flipkens. Serena has beaten Radwanska in all four of their previous meetings, and Radwanska has only won one set in those four meetings. Flipkens had come into the tournament ranked 28th in the world, but will near the top 20 mark of the WTA Women’s Singles Rankings at 22, a huge leap over last summer when she was ranked 262nd in the world.

"She has had a very good two weeks and I knew it wasn’t going to be easy tonight," Radwanska said of Flipkens. "I started a little slow and she was playing consistently well throughout the whole match. Then in the second set I finally started playing much better and more aggressive. I’m happy to get through."

"She doesn’t miss," said Serena of her semifinals opponent. "She gets every ball back and makes you fight for every single point. So I don’t know anything that could be less dangerous."
