Serve & Return, Inc. to Offer Five Scholarships for Aspiring Junior Players

Serve and Return, Inc. whose mission is to provide tennis training and education opportunities to those who could not otherwise afford them is offering five junior “Excellence Award” scholarships to aspiring young tennis players ages 8 to 16.
Each scholarship will provide group and individual training and instruction opportunities at Bethpage Park Tennis Center and programs can be tailored to a player’s unique needs. Selection for each scholarship will be based upon demonstrated economic need, playing ability and commitment to athletic and academic excellence. Each scholarship is valued at up to $7,000.
The underlying philosophy of this program is that, “If you have more, you have more to give.” Therefore each recipient of an award is expected to demonstrate involvement and volunteerism in service to the tennis community.
