Stony Brook Men’s Tennis Wins Home Opener

The Stony Brook men’s tennis team won its home opener on Tuesday, defeating Wagner 7-0 to move to 4-5 on the season.
Led by its strong singles play, the Seawolves were able to win eight of the nine matches on the day. It captured the doubles point behind the international sophomore duo of Raphael Termat of France and Kenzo Kauffmann of Swizterland who won 8-1 at third doubles.
There were two tight singles matches played on the afternoon. Alexandre Felisa had to fight back from a set down to win 2-6, 6-0, 10-7 against Ryan Khan at second singles. At fifth singles, Kauffmann beat Charlton Boyd 6-4, 5-7, 10-7.
The Seawolves will remain at home as it prepares to host the University of Maryland-Baltimore County on Friday, April 3.
