Tennis Stars Trade in Racquets for Cleats for Charity Soccer Match in Miami

Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal will lead a group of the sport’s top stars in a charity soccer game to benefit the victims of the recent tsunami in Japan. The soccer exhibition will take place Wednesday night, March 23rd at a Miami, Fla. area high school where the tennis stars, including Andy Murray and David Ferrer as well, will face the Fort Lauderdale Strikers of the North American Soccer League. A fundraising dinner to beenfit the American Red Cross Japan disaster relief effort will be held after the soccer match.
The tennis stars are in Miami for this week’s Sony Ericsson Open, on the heels of the recent BNP Paribas Open where Djokovic took home the top prize this past Sunday at Indian Wells Tennis Center in California.
