The United States drew a home tie against Brazil when the International Tennis Federation (ITF) conducted the draw for the 2013 Davis Cup by BNP Paribas in London. The U.S., the all-time leader with 32 Davis Cup titles, will host Brazil in the first round, Feb. 1-3, at a site to be determined by the USTA. The U.S. is 3-1 versus Brazil in Davis Cup, with the United States winning the last meeting in the 1997 first round at Ribeirao Preto, Brazil.
The USTA will begin the selection process early next week. The deadline to nominate a location to the ITF is Nov. 13. With a victory over Brazil, the U.S. would host either Belgium or Serbia in the quarterfinals, April 5-7.
