USTA Long Island Region Adult League: September/October 2026

What an incredible Spring and Summer Adult League season it has been on Long Island!
Over the past several months, our players, and captains have come together to make this another memorable season of USTA League tennis. From the opening matches to the final playoff points, the level of competition has been outstanding. We witnessed countless hard-fought matches, thrilling tiebreaks (including an epic 24-22 super tie breaker in a Regional playoff match!), and inspiring displays of teamwork, determination, and resilience.
Just as impressive as the tennis itself was the sportsmanship shown throughout the season. Whether celebrating victories, supporting teammates, or competing with respect and integrity, our Long Island league community continued to embody the true spirit of the game.
Congratulations to all of our league champions who earned the opportunity to compete at the Regional Championships. Regionals showcased the very best of Long Island tennis, with our teams representing the region with exceptional skill, passion, and sportsmanship.
We are now excited to congratulate our 17 Long Island teams that have advanced to the USTA Eastern Sectional Championships in the 18+ and 40+ Adult Leagues. Qualifying for Sectionals is a tremendous accomplishment and reflects the dedication, commitment, and teamwork demonstrated throughout the season.

On behalf of USTA Eastern Long Island, thank you to every player, captain, and host facility who helped make this season such a success. Your enthusiasm and commitment continue to strengthen our league community and make Long Island one of the most vibrant tennis regions in the section.
While many of our spring leagues have wrapped up, the excitement is far from over. Our 55+ and 65+ Adult League players are still battling it out in local league competition, with league champions set to be crowned later this month before advancing to the USTA Eastern Sectional Championships in September. These athletes continue to demonstrate that competitive tennis has no age limit. Their passion for the game, commitment to staying active, and unwavering competitive spirit are truly inspiring. They are wonderful ambassadors for our sport and a reminder that tennis is a game for life.
We wish all of our Sectional-bound teams the very best of luck. We look forward to cheering you on as you represent Long Island and compete for the opportunity to advance even further to Nationals. Go Long Island!
