USTA Serves, the national charitable foundation of the United States Tennis Association (USTA), has announced it will host its second annual Pro-Am in the Hamptons, Thursday, Aug. 22 in East Hampton, N.Y., beginning with a doubles round robin tournament, and an evening reception sponsored by Sotheby’s Auction House. Both events will serve to raise money to help fund college scholarships and program grants to community-based tennis and education programs throughout the country, and help fund USTA Player Development efforts to develop world-class American tennis players.

The day will kick off at noon with the Pro-Am at the East Hampton Indoor Tennis Club, featuring four-time Grand Slam singles champion and former world number one Jim Courier; current world number 22 and number two-ranked American men’s player Sam Querrey, and current world number 15 and number two-ranked American women’s player Sloane Stephens, all of whom will be paired with foundation donors.

USTA Serves is hosting a sunset cocktail reception at The Bridge in Bridgehampton, N.Y. at 6:00 p.m. Honored guests include former world number one and International Tennis Hall of Famer John McEnroe, who will meet with guests throughout the evening. Sotheby’s Auction House will be the premier sponsor of the event.

“The event is a great opportunity to raise awareness of the USTA’s continued efforts of building and cultivating the sport of tennis as a result of the tremendous work of USTA Serves and USTA Player Development,” said Patrick McEnroe, general manager of USTA Player Development. “This is a great opportunity for attendees to lend their support to both great causes.”
