Former number one ranked Caroline Wozniacki has fired her coach, Ricardo Sanchez of Spain, just two months into his tenure. According to her father, Piotr Wozniacki, she did not get any "new impulses" from working alongside Sanchez.

Sanchez was hired in December of 2011 and only saw her fall to Kim Clijsters in the quarterfinals of the 2012 Australian Open. Also under Sanchez’s watch, Wozniacki also lost her top spot in the WTA rankings in her fall Down Under. She still remains without a single Grand Slam title and is now ranked fourth in the world.

Sanchez has told the newspaper that he found it "impossible" to have a system of more than one coach and that Wozniacki only got more confused.
