World Gym Bay Shore Hosts Successful Free Tennis Play Day

October 10, 2012 | By Adam Wolfthal

World Gym Bay Shore held a free Tennis Play Day on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Two indoor tennis courts were reserved for the event to give free lessons to local children looking to learn the game. Two racquetball courts were also used for young children who learned using red and yellow QuickStart balls and lowered nets. Twenty-five eager athletes showed up to have a great time learning tennis fundamentals and taking part in fun drills. The children were taught the basics of ground strokes and worked on volleys as well.

World Gym Bay Shore, located at 225 Howells Road, is a 50,000-square-foot facility featuring two indoor tennis courts, cardio equipment, a free weight gym, a free nursery and World Gym Bay Shore’s Club Cafe.
