Plainview JFK won for the second straight time on Tuesday afternoon, edging Great Neck North 4-3 in a tightly-contested Conference I matchup.

Alex Fried and Nick Dechiaro led the way for the Hawks with a 6-3, 7-6(0) win over Damien Chafe and Lukes Hakimian in the first doubles spot.

In another close match on Tuesday, Carle Place snuck past New Hyde Park 4-3, and it was the doubles play that led the way for the Frogs.

New Hyde Park got wins from Pete Siozioz, Garrison Shu and Minato Fukada to sweep the singles courts, but Carle Place demonstrated its depth. Gavin Manganiello and Matt River won in straight sets over Vish Sharma and Dave Budhram at first doubles, and Chris and James Wright teamed up to win their fourth doubles match in straight sets over Daniel Matthews and Devin Barbieri.

That would leave the match to be decided up to second and third doubles. Brian Erker and Brian Huang  won a three set match at second doubles , and Aidan Tammaro and Chris Martinovic beat Sean Hong and Vincent Poblete in a three-set third doubles match to clinch the Frogs’ win.

Wantagh clinched Conference IV and stayed unbdefeated on the season, knocking off Lawrence 6-1 to improve to 13-0 on the season.

Raul Fernandez helped lead the way with a 6-4, 5-7, 6-3 win over Noah Scroppo at second singles, while Matt Pullman and Kieran Baisley notched a 6-4, 6-3 win over Eden Kateav and Jason Eras at third doubles.
