USTA Eastern Has Class

At the recent 2012 Annual Meeting of USTA Eastern, Section President Jeff Williams addressed junior award winners with these words of wisdom …

"If you work hard in the classroom and continue to develop the skills for which you are being honored here today, you will turn out to be someone that is unbeatable in the most important sport of all—life."

Bravo Jeff for acknowledging that classroom and court skills are synergistic. Maybe if you visited the bubble at the National Tennis Center in Flushing on a weekday at 10:00 a.m. you could address the 30 or so school-aged Eastern Section children who are encouraged by the national governing body of your organization to attend daily. You could tell them about the value of a classroom education.
